Ford Certified Program

The Ford Certified Pre-Owned program takes the risk out of buying a previously owned vehicle. Driving a Ford Certified Pre-Owned vehicle means driving with the knowledge and confidence that your vehicle has been thoroughly inspected and comes with manufacturer-backed limited warranty coverage.

Certified Pre-Owned Program Benefits

To qualify for Certified Pre-Owned status, each used Ford must be less than six model years old and have fewer than 80,000 miles on the odometer. Then before we certify any Ford pre-owned vehicle, it must first pass a rigorous 172 point-by-point exam.
All our Certified Pre-Owned vehicles come with extensive warranty coverage* and 24-hour roadside assistance. And to top it off, we provide a full tank of gas, new wiper blades, and fresh oil and filter at delivery.

Certified Pre-Owned 172-Point Inspection

If a pre-owned vehicle is less than 6 model years old and has less than 80,000 actual miles on the odometer, then it’s eligible to undergo our demanding 172-point Quality Check inspection process. On Ford F-Series trucks and E-Series vans, only vehicles up through the 350 series are eligible for certification; 450 series and higher are ineligible.
Anything found to be below standards or deficient is repaired or replaced using only genuine Motorcraft® replacement parts. Only vehicles that pass this rigorous inspection become Ford Certified Pre-Owned vehicles.
The 172-Point Inspection is divided into the following four categories:
  1. Amenities – These are a vehicle’s numerous functional components outside of the drivetrain and chassis, including comfort, convenience and safety features.
  2. Chassis – A vehicle’s chassis refers to all the components of the suspension, steering, and braking systems attached to the frame. Tires are also included.
  3. Quality – This general category covers everything related to the appearance of a vehicle, specifically the important areas of fit and finish such as sheet metal and upholstery.
  4. Powertrain – This category contains all the hardware and functional components related to the engine, transmission and driveline.

24-Hour Roadside Assistance

Whichever road you travel in a Ford vehicle, trust that help is coming soon with our 24-hour roadside assistance program. Roadside assistance is part of our powertrain limited-warranty coverage, which means you’re automatically covered for 7 years or 100,000 miles from the original in-service date. That’s 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in case of breakdown, blowout, bad weather, anything.
Plus, if you have trouble far from home, Ford CPO gives you the added benefit of a travel expense reimbursement, worth up to $500, for up to three days of lodging, meals and rental vehicle if breakdown occurs more than 100 miles from home.
